Our expertise in lean theory and practice comes from three sources:
- We received our training from renowned experts with direct ties to the Operations Management Consulting Division (OMCD) method founded by Taiichi Ohno,
- We apply lean to ourselves, so our methods are continuously improving,
- We help companies deploy lean on a grand scale. We have supervised hundreds of successful projects, and each one has refined our understanding of the method.
Operae Partners was created in 2007 by Marie-Pia Ignace and Michael Ballé to develop and deploy lean in the service and information technology industries. Co-founders of the Institut Lean France, Marie-Pia and Michael are two of the major players responsible for bringing correct lean management practices to France.

A pioneer of lean deployment in the European service industry, Marie-Pia directed several business divisions with thousands of employees before launching Operae Partners. In addition to her role as CEO, she teaches classes at the university Telecom ParisTech and is the driving force behind numerous projects to promote lean in France, such as the The European Lean IT Summit. This international conference debuted in autumn 2011, and attracted more than 150 delegates and speakers from all over Europe and the United States.
